This journey began when my husband, Tra' Valadez, was diagnosed with inoperable Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) in April 2019. When he received his port a year later, he hated having to pull down his shirt for access, so I grabbed a pair of scissors and cut a small hole in one of his under shirts to make it easier.

Sadly, Tra' passed away just a month later.

Then in 2022, a friend’s husband was going through treatment. I remembered that simple solution and with my mom’s sewing skills, we created a shirt for him — this time using a soft raglan style, a zipper, and a custom design. It worked beautifully. I shared it online and one request turned into many. From that, Flock & Spirit was born.

Our goal is to offer comfort, compassion, and a bit of light during some of life’s hardest moments. Each shirt is designed and made with care and love - to make treatment just a little easier.
